No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device.

Can I write my own custom text pattern?

Yes. Choose "Custom" in the Text dropdown and type your pattern using {n} for the current page number and {p} (or {total}) for the total pages.

Can I skip the first page or number only certain pages?

Yes. Enter a page range such as 2-10 or 1,3,5-8 in the "Pages to number" field. Leave it blank to number every page.

Will the tool work on rotated or landscape pages?

Yes. The tool detects each page's rotation and places the number in the correct visual position.

Is the original quality of my PDF preserved?

Absolutely. Existing page content, images, fonts and formatting are left untouched.

What if my PDF is password protected?

PDFs with an owner password are usually handled automatically. Files that require a user password must be unlocked first — try our Unlock PDF tool.
